About Me

As a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist, I trained for seven years in somatic psychology and neurobiology at The School for Body-Mind Centering, Somatic Experiencing Institute, and The Tamalpa Institute. By testing techniques that support mind-body homeostasis, neuroplasticity, and co-regulation through my own direct experience, I prepared extensively in the nuanced application of psycho-somatic care. Before my post-graduate study, I received a BA in Organizational Behavior at Wesleyan University, where I researched environmental aptitudes for stress. Learning how to practically and tactfully regain control of the body amidst environmental stressors has helped me successfully guide hundreds of individuals using transformative, everyday tools. My writings and somatic approaches have been featured in key leadership publications like We Create Space and Centered Mental Health Toolkit. Some previous corporate clients include Salesforce, Google, & Masco Corp.

My Philosophy

By making space for the body in coaching, we find unexpected answers that cannot be accessed through the mind and logic alone. My body-based approach drives change at the neurobiological level. Your current challenges will ground our sessions in everyday life, and we'll maintain a vision for rejuvenating your nervous system by building capabilities for your overall stress response. We will find the ground your nervous system seeks in relation to specific challenges you face. The answers to your questions will come from finding more of yourself in your own body.I chose the non-clinical approach coaching offers because it allows me to maintain the ethic I believe must live at the center of care. The nature of this is love. In its various forms, love has trained me in the courage required to expose and nurture one’s sensitive and vulnerable parts. For this reason, I do not stand as an expert curer, objective and healthy, above those who seek my guidance. I whole-heartedly stand by, with the knowledge I’ve gained from living with my wounds. This makes me ready to compassionately support others in holding the reality of their life and its many challenges, while also locating the pivot points for genuine inner transformation.Read more about my approach.

Client Testimonials

"As a psychologist, I have very high standards for coaches. I need people who are courageous and confrontational, who take risks with their interventions, who are not afraid to assess the uncomfortable, who challenge my growth. Zacha was able to challenge my developmental and family issues and also assist me in navigating one of the most difficult periods of my life. He supported me and enabled me to gain clarity on my romantic relationship, my spirituality, and my career." ~Client, Los Angeles

"Through embodiment and art, Zacha's coaching sessions gave me art materials that serve as documentation of my progression. This is one of the most impactful and unique aspects of Zacha's work- you will be able to understand and track your own growth throughout the process." ~Client, San Francisco

"Zacha has a wisdom and insight beyond his age and experience. It is as if he has been doing this work for many lifetimes. I have seen his movements surpass even the most accredited teachers in my profession, and I have been trained in Ivy League schools and in long term institutions in New York City. Zacha is impressive and will surely transform you in ways that you cannot imagine.
